As carrots grow below the ground they
can be covered with soil when pulled out

Carrots can be scrubbed and scraped to
get the soil off

If they are very mucky they can have the
outer skin taken off with a peeler

Because a lot of nutrients are below the
skin try not to make the peel too thick
